Hey so today i try to star the truck and the truck didnt want to turn on it wanted to but i notice the litle padlock on the dash. I think the factory alarm had something to do with this but im not sure,\ i added an after market alarm a viper so i dont know if the viper alarm is not deactivating the old alarm i dont even know if i still have the factory alarm installed on the truck still.... Anyone had this problem or is it just me?

it could be the cold. the first snow/really cold days are really hard on your battery. if your battery it too low, when you insert the key and then try to start it, if there is not even a clicking sound, then the car will eat your keys (not give them back) and you have to leave them in the ignition while you leave and go get another car for jumping. i had that problem with mine

 

Its not the battery is the factory alarm thats giving me a problem
