Default PCM Tune4Less for H3T???

Is it available for the 3.7L Auto "T"?

If so and you installed it, what kind of performance gains can I expect?

Reason I ask, I just test drove the H3T again today and after getting out of my V6 Tacoma and driving the H3T, the H3T seemed real anemic in it's acceleration. Once you get up to speed, it seems ok but getting there is the thing that has me concerned. I do like the solid feeling of the drive of the H3T and it does seem to have good on-road manners. I think better braking than my Tacoma and probably not as bouncy of a ride. So if I do the PCM tune, will it improve the acceleration at all. I realize the H3T is not a sports car but it needs a little help.

There are a few guys that have the pcm tune. Nothing but good things to say. I personally don't have it done on my T but I have the manual transmission and I swear by it when it comes to performance. In my opinion if you go with the I5 get the manual if you are worried about it feeling under powered. I test drove both and noticed a difference.

I don't believe a single manual tranny H3T exists in the state of FL.

Yeah I guess the 5 speed is pretty exclusive. I just put 35's on my T yesterday and I am loving it and there is little to no difference in performance.

Good luck with whatever truck you end up with. Like I said before, everyone that gets the pcm tune done to their I5 absolutely loves it and says that is the way to go. Especially if you want to go with a bigger tire.

I just bought a H3T I-5 with manual last weekend. It has adventure package, nav, backup cam and sunroof. Only manual H3T I saw for sale, they are pretty rare.

A PCM tune and an intake will help the 3T. Both together improve drivability significantly. If you intand/or are considering to do both, do the intake first so you can tailor the tune for that mod and complimant eachother for additional boosted performance. Each will improve MPG, and together more so.

Part of the PCM tune allows you to select AT shift firmness, and the tune programs the tranny to stay in the power band of the motor longer for a great improvement feel.

I wheeled with a friend last weekend, with the 3T manual and the tune, he also agrees it is a great bang for the buck!

Default HT3 Air Doc

On my T I have the Air Doc, K&N and Jet Power Chip. Also, I have a Roll-N-Lock cover which cuts down on the wind drag. I am very pleased with all aspects of T after these modifications. Good Luck!!

Same here, I wanted a manual and mine was the only one available within 500
miles.

^^^ Also belong to the manual club... after a back to back comparison with the auto & manual tansmissions with the same I-5 during the test drives I have to say that the manual has a serious performance advantage.

I might do a high flow filter on my 3T, but I think I want to stay away from replacing the stock intake on my truck. I tend to be playing around in deep water a lot and the stock box seems to have more protection against water getting into the system.

Not sure if I want to do a PCM tune, I am guessing that immediately voids large parts of my warrenty. If I were to spend the cash on it, I would probably want to do the exhuast first.

Hey Sugar, if you go with the AirDoc intake you don't have to worry about water as it uses the stock airbox. It basically gets rid of the resonator box and allows for straight airflow right to the throttle body. I have it on my truck and it has worked well.

I am also on the fence about the pcm tune and how it affects the warranty.
