Default Problem with Rockford fosgate audio kit

just installed the rockford fosgate kit and it's not getting any power it seems. The setup was very easy.... plug in the amp/sub cable, ground it, tap the power cable to the fusebox power on driver side, and connect the new harness to my navigation unit. Everything was simple... but it's not powering up I guess.
Any thoughts/ideas why? I assume this kit shouldnt have a problem with an aftermarket navigation (clarion nx501) since all the wiring harnesses match up but maybe not..?

I also put the door speakers in and they are working fine

I dunno, I just installed the same kit last week. found it on somo for $299. Mine works fine, its loud as hell. My only complaint is that there is no way to shut the sub off other than unplugging it.

Make sure you have power to the sub via that orange wire that you had to tap into in the side fuse panel and a good ground.

nice.. that's where I got my as well.

What kind of deck do you have? someone mentioned they thought it doesnt work with 3rd party navi, only stock deck.

did you also tap the power off the fuse wire like the instructions said? and use the ground in the B pillar?

Could you take a picture of your orange wire tapped? maybe I misunderstood it from the diagram

So let's assume this kit doesnt work with 3rd party navs

Here's my idea to get the subwoofer(and amp?) working:

FROM the sub/amp box you have the following cables:
power (red) - plugged into the fuse box
ground (blk) - connected to B pillar stock grounding

The 4 other cables that run to the new wiring harness are:
grey/greyblack
white/whiteblack

Now I also have this available options on my nav via banana plugs, same colors...(grey/greyblack and white/whiteblack)

Could I cut the 4 wires, aka bypassing the wiring hardness and run them directly into my nav unit? Thus getting the subwoofer to work ? would the amp then work too? I mean technically all cables are connected then.

does this make sense at all?? or is there something in that new T wiring harness that is playing more of a role than just making the electrical connection to the would be stock nav ?

I figure it's either this option, or I'm gonna resell the kit minus the door speakers and for the little money I'd get after shipping I probably wont go the selling route.
