Default RE: Possible Purchase

When I bought the extended warranty on the Thunderbird I found an online dealer that sold them, the cost was lower than my local dealer. When i told my local dealer what i could get it for, they matched the price. Are there any dealers that offer the extended warranty through their website. Also, not sure what the factory warranty covers.????

not sure what the factory warranty covers, but i would guess bumper to bumper or at least all the crap that's going to break and leave you stranded. my GMPP warranty covers all the same stuff, and i have about 12k miles left to use it. some members here have talked about their dealer not covering work under warranty if you've been offroading, but that's totally opposite of my experience. all the mechanics know my truck and never question the warranty repairs. they only bitch about cleaning off the mud to do their work . . . . . .

New rides have the 5 yr/100,000 mi powertrain, and 4 yr/50000 bumper to bumper. The dealer wanted 1800 to upgrade the bumper to bumper to 5 year / 100,000 mi. I figure you could put that in an ING savings for a rainy day and make out 9 times out of 10 for that price.

I have had plenty of differnt vehicles and I think it all depends what you want, what you are going to use it for and if you wife consistantly tells you she wants one, you get it. If your looking for good gas mileage a Hummer is not exactly up there. But I can tell you this the H3 in my opinion isa Tank of a SUV. Solid, good turning radius, roomy, good resale value and according to my wife it does amazing things offroad ( The dealer had the offroad/ability course and she told me all about it and when I get back I will get my chance). Down fall is visibility, but you adapt and overcome.I would keep the Birdat all costs, it will become valuable some day.
