popping noise when I turn - sometimes a bit of a squeel accompanies it - not all the time, about 2-3 times a day. Any ideas? (Any ideas that aren't expensive? lol)
She's an '04 so maybe age is just catching up to her - ?

 

Found the problem, dealer picked her up this morning, wheel bearings. Ouch!

 

GirlieH2, what did the wheelbearing change cost you and did it fix the problem? I have recently started hearing that on the right front. Also, did they find/do any other repairs while in there. I'm also looking at a steering gear replacement before too long.

 

Cost was around $800, less than last time. Last time it was $1200. They didn't see or do anything else other than an oil change. Next week, tune up. Hope they don't see anything then either. Solved the problem. I first noticed the noise everytime it was wet. It would make an odd squeeling noise but when it was dry, nothing. Then it started no matter what the weather was...good luck!
