hi, first time poster, long time lurker. I have an 06 H3 that i just got about 2 months ago, and it just recently started making sort of a flapping noise, it sounds like something may be hitting the windshield. The first time i heard it I credited it to the storm that was blowing in with high winds. But it has done it since, on days with no wind.

My husband said that on his old 01 chevy silverado he had two little vents that were under the hood that would come loose and hit the windshield, I dont really see anything like that on mine but i guess thats one possiblilty?

Has anyone else had this problem?

 

Look at the plastic windshield surround molding. Get a step stool and look at the top corners of the plastic molding. May of the early ones cracked, and then started making a racket. Might be what you have? They were replaced under warranty as a known problem.
