Blue Cross Blue Shield has been the most prominent for me. Huge and locks down the whole page till you click it off.

I get them constantly on my Ipad using chrome as the browser, almost every time I change a pad I get one. it gets so annoying at time I do not visit the forum for weeks. My favorite thing is when the page loads I scroll down and then the pop up comes up and the "X" to close out of it is no longer in view of the screen and I can no longer scroll since the pop up locks everything so I have to refresh the page.

Think its time for you guys to check your devices, I have 3 laptops I use, and it does not matter which one I am on, NEVER get any pop ups at all from here or anywhere.

I do not even get the pop up blocker notice warning thing?

Uh hem....... maybe avoid those **** sites.

Yeah, it's our devices.... OR... it could be that you guys who are Moderators don't see the ads. That would make a lot more sense. I'd had to think that in my 30 year computer career that I didn't know how to set up my device, and made ads appear that others can't see... ads that are not setup on the site apparently even...

Hello everyone,

The pop-up (Kontera) ads especially don't jive well on the iPad and other tablets.

Right now our global app has very minimal banner ads on the bottom of the page (for sure none of the bad pop-ups).

The app is available for both Android and iOS

I'll be happy to discuss any other concerns or questions regarding the site in both threads and through PMs.

Thanks Jose, for confirming that we are not crazy or that we don't know how to set up our devices. I am assuming, just like I said, that moderators are not plagued with the popups like regular members are.

If I look at HF incognito with no sign in, most I can see is those double underline things that when you scroll over an ad jumps up from that ad service (ad choices and maybe more?), but all that crap can be eliminated through browser settings.

When signed in as moderator, without modified browser settings, I can still see that underlined crap. If you are referring to different pop up stuff, I do not see it. I am sorry I can't help further.

I dont see any pop ups, on any of my puters....
On windows based systems:
go to--> internet settings, Privacy
check mark--> pop up blocker,
click on--> settings,
Blocking level set--> High: block all pop ups.
Works on all my 'puters...
