I bought an 2006 h3 last week. The next day the engine light came on while I was in a different state at a family get together. I stopped by a local autozone to see if they could plug into the obd and get anything. When he did that the dash lights went off and his reader didn't work. He looked behind the plug and there are 2 wires that Arnt connected. A black one and a white/black one. So I took it back to the dealer. They had it all day today and didn't do anything. I needed it for tomorrow so I took it home. They want to charge me 188 to reconnect the wires. Today after looking at it. I can see where they go, but I'm not sure which one goes where. There are frays where they went. Both are on the bottom row. I looked all over the Internet and can't seem to find any thing that helps. Anyone out there happen to have a wiring for that plug? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

Looked at mine. There are 4 wires: purple, black, black/white, and orange in that order.

 

Thanks. Looks like both are on the bottom of the plug. From the door to the inside. Which hole does the black wire go and the black/white wire go. Thanks you've been very helpful

 

From rkmx5's post...... it would appear that the black wire would go next to the purple wire, then the blk/white wire goes next to the orange wire....... in that order.

 

I thought you still had pieces of the wire left in the connector. Since not, I see the following: From the door, orange in hole 1 on top row, black/white in bottom row position 4, black in bottom row position 5, and purple in bottom row position 7,

 

There's just some frays of the actually wire, not really any plastic to see what color they were. Thanks a million. Very appreciated.
