I purchased my 09 Alpha about 1 year ago from an old retired lady and I have nothing but problems. I baby this h3 and the previous owner did the same. One thing after another, and this is after I replaced some OEM broken parts. Example part prices I recently paid:

OEM Chrome Side Passenger Rear View Mirror: $230
OEM Engine Plastic Cover: $150
OEM Roof Racks: $300

All these parts are basically just cheap plastic stuff probably made in China. At this point I'm gonna hold off on the lift kit and bigger tires and wheels. As a real estate investor I find it very hard to spend money on something that I will never re-coup. Frankly, I'd rather take that money and invest it hanging out on a beautiful Beach in Brazil for 6 months surrounded by beautiful Brazilian women in tiny bikinis, drinking cold Chopps and improving my tan.

My Old Man (Father) purchased a new V8 Tundra in 2008 and he rags on his truck every day pulling 7,000 lbs regularly and he's never had one issue with his truck. 150,000 miles and cranks every day, never any issues only change the oil and other fluids.

Good Luck.
H3Ray, do you copy this same thing from one forum to another? All you do is talk about how bad Hummer's are, and how much it cost to work on them. Well it's BS, it's no different that any other Chevy to work on. He's so full of crap and we're all getting tired of hearing it. If you hate your H3 so much as we've all said before please sell it and buy you a Toyota and leave these forums to the guys that enjoys their trucks. i owned a 96 toyota camry and that was the biggest POS i've ever owned. Being a die hard GM guy, I've also owned Ford's that's been great trucks. You put in there that these parts had to be replaced

OEM Chrome Side Passenger Rear View Mirror: $230, Could see it stop working
OEM Engine Plastic Cover: $150, don't even need it and can't see how you could even screw that up since it only sits on top of the motor and does nothing
OEM Roof Racks: $300, did they get stolen? friend of mine has an 06 with 279k miles on it and her roof racks looks just like new, Oh that's right she takes care of her Hummer.

1. Parts are SCARY expensive, same as any Chevy part
2. Parts are hard to find, GM has years and years of stocked parts because they have too, yet another lie
3. GM Dealers don't like working on Hummers and some employees have an attitude against Hummer owners., As long as your paying your bill and not trying to screw the dealer out of money they'll work on anything, yet another lie
4. Hummers are not the most reliable or problem-free vehicles, funny just a couple of months ago on the Yahoo page HUMMER beat both Toyota and Honda on reliability.

So again, please sell the little H3 to someone and stop posting because a lot of us get so tired of listen or having to read thru your post. I never try to say anything to anyone but your like a broken record.

I never stated NOT ALL Hummers were lemons. I am stating problems about my personal experiences with MY H3 and if you don't like my opinion then this your problem - not mine.
