Where I live in Michigan we have had somewhere between 12-14 inches of snow. My truck gets parked outside in front of the garage (go figure) so quite a bit of snow built up on it. I don't believe in pulling off to go anywhere without cleaning off the vehicle. I drove off and the wipers got stuck in the up position because the ice would not allow them to sweep far enough to get to the return position.

So that is the stuck part. Here is the fix. Make sure you clean all ice out of the wipers and the wiper well. I had to clean all the way down to the plastic under where the wiper arm connects to the wiper motor.

yeah, make it a ritual, AND store the blades out off the glass.
when they stick there its not good for the mechanism, crunch...
