Performance Chip

Hi:
Has anyone tried installing one of those performance chips that supposedly gives better gas mileage and horsepower?

Have a link? Most are scams. The ones that work are actual PCM tunes and cost $$$.

I seen a show on tv awhile ago they took them apart and it was just a LED light or 2 and a resistor that did nothing, they had 3 or 4 different brands and all were a rip off.
save your money and get a tune

I installed a Diablo tune on my 09 SUT. It was pricey, but improved acceleration considerably. Gas mileage went up from 10 to 11.5 avg.

As other have said they are snake oil.

Stick with a PCM tune if you have an I5 or a SuperChips programmer if you have an Alpha.

I have one in my Expy, an SCT...i have up to 8 different tunes...it can read and clear codes and also is a 4" back up camera screen...I may get one for the H3 if they make one... ...in my opinion it is worth it...
