Anyone get a PCMforless tune on a stock H3 then later upgrade the exhaust/intake, or otherwise have experience with the PCMforless both with and without other mods?

Am I correct in my impression that PCMforless is the only option for tuning the I5?

 

i stumbled into a chip for 59 bucks, claimed it did everything but wax the roof. i forget what but u can look and find lots of snake oil!

on the radio i hear of a "platinum"gas gigit that turns reg into premium and 20% better mpg!

sad thing is ,its promoted by a otherwise decent guy,,,so the world turns

 

I'd like to add a question if I may. I hear guys that do have them raving on here that they like them.(I'm surprised at the inactivity on this thread. Not even a word from the PCM4Less guy?) In particular the Shift point changes. What about the few of us that have manual transmissions. Is there any real improvement? To be honest I have never even thought about complaining of the day to day drive ability or power of my 3. The only time I've had problems is on steep grade inclines. They are a bitch unless your in 4 low.

 

I was thinking the same thing, not the manual tranny part but surprise at the lack of responses. I want the extra oomph and shifter improvements, but not so keen on a new exhaust or intake unless they make a big difference with the tune. Seems like most people with the tune also have new exhaust and intake, and PCMforless tunes for any mods....
