pcm security relearn problems

pcm security relearn problems

trying to put in the loaner pcm and its not going well. i have swapped the ecu's and tried to do the security relearn. the little lock icon doesnt go off. even after hours. disconnected the battery for a few minutes and tried the process over. even after 25minute that damn light will not going off.

what am i doing wrong

Nice work! There should be a "sticky" for information like this, "30minute relearn" Plus a whole lot more of useful information included, that is posted all over this forum!

What did you do? I'm having the same issue right now.

Avoid digging up OLD as dirt threads!!!!!!! This one is SIX YEARS OLD!

If you are doing the PCMofNC relearn for a loaner PCM (which is what this thread is about) call them and ask questions. Otherwise, follow the written instructions they gave you as it is not much more difficult than changing a light bulb.
