Parking brake lead....
My wife's 2008 gets a message that says in part...something about an incorrect "parking brake lead" and to check in the manual. Well, there' not squat in the manual about a Parking Brake Lead".
Anybody got a clue what this is? Next time I'll write down the whole message.

on my head unit i needed to hook in the parking brake for it to allow navigation menu and dvd function. the parking brake wire is negative. i ran my parking lead from the head unit to a switch, then to ground. that way, my girlfriend/copilot can manage the navigation on the fly.

I located the installation manual online, here's what it said:
Light green
Used to detect the ON/OFF status of the parking brake. This lead must be
connected to the power supply side of the parking brake switch.
If this connection is made incorrectly or omitted, certain functions
of your navigation system will be unusable.
Connects to POWER side, not the NEGATIVE side.
Now to find the parking brake wires!
