p0128
I got a check engine code, p128 I believe it reads something about the t stat? Anyone had this code, and is the t stat gone? I cleared it and it came back on about 100 km later.
Thanks guys, someone told me it was because I put in a k&n and header... a little warmer Underhood but didn't think I would get this..

I had the same setup and did not have an issue until my t stat needed to be replaced, but mine was stuck open. after replacing the t stat I have not had that issue due to excessive heat under the hood. I call that bull

p0128, engine coolant temp unable to get to 176°F . Check coolant level.
CTS sends the signal, connecting a scanner with live data will show that.
Most likely you are low on coolant
Could be a defective cts
Thermostat stuck? should still reach 176!

Hey guys, and thanks. I am guessing it is stuck open, that will still allow it to cool right? Cuz the thermostat hasn't been high, it seems to stay lower. About half way between first mark and half way. It never goes over half anyway. Even before I got any codes. So assuming stuck open makes it constantly cool? I have lots of coolant as well. I cleared it and it hasn't come back on just going to work but its about 2 minutes each way.
So do I need to replace both CtS and t stat or do one or the other and hope it is all?
