Default Only run on 1st and 2nd Gear

Hello all.
This morning I installed TruCool trans cooler (bypassed the rad) using the supplied rubber tube. The installation process was flawless. I ran it for 3KM with speed 120km/hr and suddenly I saw smoke coming from my underhood. Immediately stopped and found out the supply rubber tube burst and the oil splashed everywhere. I get the Mech guy to fix it and topped the level up to the specified level. It runs well for about 5km and problem started right after. The gear only stays on 1st and 2nd. What might cousing this? I am pretty sure my oil level is correct as I stopped few times to check it. I hope my gearbox is fine.
Hope to hear from u guys!!!

Well buddy....I got bad news for you. Sounds like you lost 3-4 clutch pack. You will need a tranny rebuild.

I just purchased that trans cooler. What went wrong w/ the install that caused rubber tube to burst? I'd like to not repeat your experience.

Most likely the rubber hose was resting against something metal and rubbed a hole in it or the clamps simply weren't tight

Is there any possibilities that some of the wire connector contaminated with trans oil might causing this bcoz oil are spread everywhere.

Very unlikely. I'd bet serious money your 3-4 clutch pack is gone.

Unfortunately I'd have to agree. Losing that amount of oil before the smoke started could have caused major damage. Keep us updated, post some pics if you have them as well!
