My 'o8 Alpha has this intermediate "resonator" right in front of the rear axle, if that's what you're referrig to?

Thanks for the reply, no, I see what I am doing wrong, I'm looking past the muffler when I look under the rear of the H-3. The muffler sits horizontal just up under the rear bumper, and I did not see it. In some photos of other H-3s, I see the muffler.

I do not have my H-3 in my driveway or garage to go look at.I'm a few days away from picking it up.
My head is swirling with these pictures of everyone's H-3s. They are all so beautiful.
