Hello everyone. I recently purchased my 03 H2 and I love it. However, a couple of days ago I noticed my oil pressure gaugehad dropped to zero. Yesterday, it started working for a short time, then it quit again. Any ideas what the problem might be? I checked the oil level and it is fine, I do not see any signs of an oil leak, and I have no error messages on the DIC.I looked at all the threads on this forum and I didn't find any with this topic. Any suggestions would be great.

Oil pressure and oil level are two different things. The lack of leaks also tells you nothing in this case. Generally speaking, when the gauge drops to zero, it's time to shut the engine off immediately and have the car towed. however, since you've already driven this for more than a few miles with no ill effects, I suspect that it's simply a faulty gauge or sensor.

 

Thanks for the input. I ended up taking it to the dealership to get it looked at. Better safe than sorry, right?
