My oil indicator is at 39%... do you guys let it go to 0% or 10% Just curious, thanks!!

 

I let mine get down to around 5% before I change the oil. Usually it will put me around 5,000 miles between changes. I only use synthetic so I'm not concerned going that far between changes. I also keep my air filter clean and run a pre-filter.

 

In every H2 I've owned, using full synthetic, I allow 2 intervals to pass before changing. Never had any issues with doing that.

i have 10% left now using mobil1 full synthetic and my last oil change was just over 12k miles ago . a few of my friends do 8k per oil change using full synthetic even if there is oil life left on the DTC and must of their H2 are going over 200k miles already

 

I do 20% or every 4000 miles. Oil changes are cheap and I also lube the chassis and rotate the tires at every oil change. I do it myself so it doesn't cost me anything in labor.

 

I use mobil 1 full synthetic and filter which is good up to 15,000 miles but anyway i change the oil every 5000 . I rather to spend a few bucks in oil than mechanical issues

 

Might as well save money & go 100% dino oil. Changing every 5000 is just a waste & goes against the benefits of using synthetic in the first place. Save some of the oil & have Blackstone labs doing an oil analysis. If you can get 10k miles out of it, why not do it. If it's clean, there's no downside.

You are right but cause I have to change my other car (work honda element) Every 5000 miles due to the Fl high temp 100°+ and high avg speed then I just make both oil changes together .
Mantenience is cheaper than the mechanics My truck is 100k miles and the engine still works as a new truck .
