My passenger side mirror broke and is not working. I need a new one but I can't justify $285 + $13 shipping. Why is a simple plastic side mirror so expensive? And who pays these ridiculous prices?

You are looking at the old part number version, get the new one.... $167 at Nally GMC. I did not check stock or shipping, but note ebay is not always cheaper than the rest.

Otherwise, check your local pick and pull.

 

Look at other New OEM Power Mirrors for any SUV. About the same price as the H3. Plus you don't think you know how to shop. I found one shipped for less than $175 (OEM NEW).

If you don't want to pay the price ... buy used parts or sell it. New OEM parts are not going to get any cheaper.

Conversely you could research, research and research some more and get a much better price on a used mirror form some gm cross over part#. that fits your make and model.
