Hi all! I am about to purchase my very first Hummer H3 tomorrow! Ive been looking for one for a long time, I'm super excited. There is so much great info here! But after reading a lot of the threads re: radiators, axles, etc... I'm also a little nervous now. Any thoughts or advice before I actually sign would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

Don't worry too much about what you read here.
As with any vehicle forum you get people who post and discuss about the problems that they have had.
The vast majority of owners never have issues with their vehicle but you almost never see posts on a forum saying that they are having NO problems.

 

Welcome Ami Queentini I just recently purchased 07 h3 it runs smooth right now I too also noticed a lot of post on radiators haven't checked out the axles problems yet. you will notice there is some ingenious people in here that will help ya out if needed be. Remember any used auto u purchasehas potential flaws thus the lemon laws so don't let that stop you. Like the fellow above (Bunger one of the many ingenious people on this forum) stated you don' hear about the ones that are running fine. You will also noticed a lot of post are for modifications. Life to short too miss out on what you want.

 

As with virtually all vehicles, if you checkout their respective forums you'll find stuff. I've only owned my H3 a few months and I love it. I have encountered a few hiccups but nothing serious. Good luck and enjoy.

Here is my post saying I am having NO problems with my 2007 H3.

Please note that all of them (every single one of the H3s and H3Ts) were built with battery terminal connectors that are absolute crap, replace those with a quality aftermarket set and you should be good to go.


I did have one thing happen, my power steering reservoir cap disappeared in the spring of 2008????? got no idea why, but the dealer gave me a new one under warranty.

 

I signed today!!!!! Got a great deal and wait to pick it up.
