I have to order a new grille from the dealership, after a delivery driver took it out with his tailgate. The original one was chrome but would like to get a black one. Are the costs about the same? I have looked online and could only find the price for painted ones.

 

ebay is good place to shop. It's where I sold my chrome and bought OEM black painted.

Seems the painted are selling for more than the chrome as I believe folks are upgrading to the newer look.

 

Yeah, from the dealer, they're the same price.

Just remember all H3 grilles are painted, over the base plastic which I believe is PPO

I sell painted grilles any color as long as its a OEM color. We have them done by the dealership so its GM paint and will match. Ive done 8 so far and every client was super happy. Shipping to Canada is a pain but I can take care of you. I can get you one for 300$ and its brand new. It dont come with any hardware so you need to use the clips and studs on your existing grille.

Heres the coolest one we've done, its a great color graphite metallic. Excuse the shop dust and the cat hair. We leave the dust on so when we wrap it we dont get finger prints on it.

 

Looks like it will be a black one then, since they are the same cost. The good thing is i don't have to pay anything.
