Default An odd switch..

So, this weekend I was fiddling around with the center console (installing my BlueStar) and some how knocked out the power to the DVD player. It was then when I opened up the side fuse panel I saw an odd microswitch installed. Flipped it a few times and apparently noticed it did nothing. So I'm driving done the road an noticed that the stereo was off. Hit tghe on button, got sound, but nothing on the screen/ Thats odd. Stopped, pulled the fuse cover and flipped the switch again, screen comes on. No, why would anybody want their radio screen in a "stealth mode"..

Odd indeed.

Only thing I could figure is if you have a nav set-up, someone might have wanted that off at night as it is annoying when trying to drive?
Our last car had nav, and the only way to make it less annoying at night was to dim the headlights, but I didn't like the headlights as dim as you needed to make the nav less annoying.
Odd indeed...

BTW, sorry for my egregiously bad spelling. It was undoubtedly before my first cup of coffee.

When your doing the stealth Mexico to Austin speed run at night with no lights on the nav system gets in the way because you can't blank it easily so having a switch to do that you don't have to climb through menus for is imperative.

LOL, in this vehicles case, it would be the Canada to New England run. Those sneaky snowbacks are crafty...

Snowbacks---now that's funny! My wife is Canadian and had to immigrate legally, she gets justifiably hot when we start talking about illegals....

Lol, mine wasnt in reference to illegals but the drug runners. The head out with gps cords to the border for a pickup then hope on 35 and it's lights out northbound to Austin.
