Not counting any "regular" maint.

Before we traded the 06:
1. Roof rails cracked

My 07: All same visit
- Driver Headlight had condensation inside, replaced
- Headliner was dropping down, fixed
- Alingment after TB crank

Wifey's 08:
-Zero, other than changing the rims out and adding the lojack

I have to admit, I'm "stupid" on this one. They added lojack and it has a key fob for the key chain. Supposedly, when if the truck is running and gets so far away from the key fob it signals them to locate your truck. Wifey wanted it.

ah...ok....onstar I believe has gps tracking so if you noice your car is gone, you call onstar..they shut it off if it's running and call the cops with the location. So the lojack method would be an automatic call for help thing where onstar you would have to call....interesting...but that would suck if your wife lets you borrow the truck but doesn't give you the key fob

They gave me 2 fobs . I don't carry her keys though, I keep them hanging on the spare key rack. My key, keyless entry, then hers with the lojack is just way too many bulky keys for my pocket.

the onstar remote "shut off" feature is planned for 2009, i think. it's not yet available.

the advantage of lojack is that it is not dependent on an external antenna (a thief could just smash the antenna and there goes the on-star coverage) since the device is hidden in the vehicle. the drawback of lojack is that not all counties/police agencies participate.

anyway, having both is belt and suspenders.

Well, now that I have had time to think about it, I'm still going to see what they can do, but having just re-fi'd our house, I don't know if starting over again with a new car loan would be such a good idea immediately. I'll wait until they fix the thing and decide. Being here in CO made me realize I don't to take another road trip or trip in general without a SUV. It would be great to have our H3 right now, but unfortunately we don't.

Since August
1st -transmission vacuum line blew off, crunching sound turning left, vibration over 45 mph
2nd -again crunching turning left, and vibration (crunching was found to be parking break cable)
3rd -again vibration finally fixed after 2 sets of new tires
4th-front end squeeking and creaking (ended up being rubber hood bumpers)
Soon to be 5th..Have a popping, thud sound when going around corners coming from front end
What will be after that?? Who knows.... Still like my H3
