Noob from Chicago
Hello Hummer owners! I am new to this forum, but not so new to car forums in general. I am a major car enthusiast, and my current vehicle is what has inspired me to always find a forum for any vehicle that I may be interested in. So naturally I had to sign up over here!
A little background about myself---I currently own a 2007 Sublime Dodge Charger Daytona that I have done a few things to, hahaha. In other words, Im not sure if there is anything stock left on it. While the car is A LOT of fun, I think it is time for me to get back into the truck game a little bit (but the Charger wont be going anywhere any time soon....). Prior to my Charger I owned a '99 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with a 4" lift and 35" tires. The Hummer would not be quite the "off-road" oriented vehicle this time around, but I have a few ideas in mind for it....
Here's a few pictures of my Charger:

WHY I AM HERE
I am thinking about buying an H2 SUT. As much as I would love an H1, it's just a little too far out of reach in terms of practicality, hahaha. The H2 is perfect though---great balance of heavy duty truck but can look great on the street as well.
While I do certainly love the wagon version, I think the SUT would suit my style a lot better. I really like that marine blue color I have seen on the recent model years.... but I hear they are tough to find. Which ever truck I end up getting HAS to have the ebony interior. Sorry, just not a fan of the wheat color.
I dont know how soon I will be ready to buy, but if it happens at all it probably won't be until we get a little closer to winter. I would love to learn some more about what to look for when buying an H2, things to stay away from, must-have options, etc. etc. Looking forward to meeting and talking with new people as well!

Welcome Pat. Good looking car and you are right, not much OEM left on the Hulk. Good luck on your Hummer search. I have had an H2 wagon and have an H2 SUT. Both are great vehicles and you can't go wrong picking between the two.
I see you have owned quite a few Hummers over the years, lol. Thats an impressive stable you have listed in your signature!
Do you have any recommendations about the whole buying experience? What I mean by that is when people come to the forum that I am most active on with my Charger (LXForums) and ask a question like this, right off the bat people say "Yes, definitely make sure you get one with this...." or "Stay away from getting this, you are gonna regret it later!"
Any advice along those lines? I know the Hummers dont quite come in as many different "versions" as the LX platform, but just looking for any insight at all for when the time comes for me to seriously start looking for one.
Thanks in advance!

Oh and by the way....
I really like the 08s and 09s..... the interior has come a long way in those! But man.... they are like an extra $20k! What else changed about the H2 in the later model years that makes them so much more expensive? Anything significant that is worth me looking into spending all that extra money?
