Default Chicago Dealerships?

Hi All,

I've been reading through this forum for months now and know this is the place to come for all of your Hummer questions/discussions etc...
I'm still new to Chicago and am wondering what dealerships I should consider or avoid. I'm looking to buy next week when I get back into town.

Thanks in advance!!!!

I just purchased my H3 from Naperville Hummer. I thought the guys there were straight shooters. I paid supplier pricing, so I'm not sure what kind of deal you can swing. They have a lot of trucks in stock from stripped to blinged out. It wasn't hard to find one that I liked. Lots of trucks means they may be willing to deal. I didn't see a line out the door. They even threw in a couple of extras at dealer cost. I've bought several new vehicles in recent years and so far it's been a good experience with them. Good Luck

Thanks for the reply Obie. Naperville was the one place I heard bad things about. Hopefully whatever problems they had are in the past. Customer service is extremely important to me. Thanks again for the reply and I'll add them back to the list.

I'm from Chicago but just moved to Plainfield. I bought mine at Weil Hummer/Cadillac in Libertyville, but always take it to Schepel in NW Indiana. They are the sponsors of our Hummer club and also have some members that work there. They are the top-selling Hummer dealership in the midwest. Any of the three are good though. It all depends how local you want to stay. Naperville Hummer is about 25 minutes north of me. I'm right off of Route 59.

Thanks for the info. I get back on Monday and hopefully will strike a good deal to buy by then. The plan is to stop by the 3 dealerships in the area and try to get the best deal possible. Buying is one thing, but customer service can be a little tricky seeing who keeps their word etc... after the sale. That's where you guys come in. Thanks for the replies! I live close to downtown. Is the dealership in Indiana that great that I should consider them as well?

Yes they are. They are a great bunch of people. You never feel like you are dealing with a sales person. I can give you a name of someone to go to if you'd like. HummerMike (on this forum) works in the service department there, and all of there service people are required to go through the Hummer off-road trianing, as are most of the sales people. Weil is also good. I have never dealt with Naperville with sales, but the service guy there is good. Look at it this way; I live in Plainfield and drive 60 miles one way down I-80 just to go to that dealer. If you want someone like I said, I can give you the info. If I were you, I would go to Weil first, then Naperville, and last, Schepel in Merrillville IN. Get the most for your money. Once you get it, you can start coming with us to our get-togethers if you want. Hell a few of us are going off-roading next Sunday.

Any info. you have is greatly appreciated!! I got an internet quote from the internet sales manager at Rizza Cadillac. Anybody deal with theses guys before? I haven't heard any bad things about the guys at Weil, so I think I'll start there since it is relatively close, that is unless I get a really good price quote from the guys in Indiana. My goal is to be in a new one by Wednesday. Also, does anyone have one of those GMID discounts they can float me? I'll let everyone know where I purchased and will be happy to share a review or run down of my purchase. This forum has been great!! And HummerGuy Thanks for the invite!
