haha mine is doing that too, right on the driver's side. Dealer told me the same thing. I was just wondering today what it was b/c it has been doing it alot b/c of the high winds in the mid-west. Im thinking it is the fake air intake covers. Mine only does it on the driver side. Any one know a way to make it stop?

Its your "A" pillar covers. They are most likely broken where they go over the front of the windshield and connect into the roof rails. That causes them to vibrate and "slap" the windshield at speed. The faster you go the louder it probably gets. Check them out. It was a recall item that the dealer should fix for you......This is mostly found on 2006 models as they revised the connectors after that.

I saw a few posts where some people used foam tape to fix the a pillar & roof molding noise & I guess it would work for the intake covers

If they are broken then the dealer will fix them. Mine was out of warranty as well. It was a well known problem with the 2006 model year. It's easy to check if they are broken. Open your front door, stand up and look where the A-Pillar wraps over the top of the windshield. Right there is where the A-Pillar hooks into the roof rail. The connectors there break on the 2006's. It's easy to see if they are broken. Make sure to check both sides. Then, if they are broken, take it to the dealer and ask them about the recall/TSB on the roof rails. They will probably just fix it for you.

Mine just started this too. I installed a predator bg Thursday and as soon as I took it on the highway, it sounded like the windshield was making a cracking noise like it was going to blow in on me. The wind was really bad so I figured that was it, but I guess the bg is making the wind hit something differently? I have roof marker lights and they vibrate sometimes but this noise is different. I'm going to check it out this weekend and see if I can find the source.
