Did you say 5 yr/100M mile warranty? They told me the '07 I just bought only had a 4yr/50M mile warranty.

BTW, the pic is great!

Starting in '07 GM upped it to 5 year/100k, but I think it only counts on certified used vehicles, which this one is. '06 has the lesser warranty. I also have a 1 year, 12k mile dealer warranty which covers the exact same parts but has a $150 deductible - the dealership does this with every used car, no extra $$... Unless I ever find myself needing to go to a non-GM shop, it's worthless.

Hmmm. I'm going to have to check on this. Mine is certified also, but when they told me the 4/50 warranty would be up mid next year, I purchased an extended 5/60 warranty. But if it really has a 5/100 original warranty, then I still have 1.5 years before the original warranty expires. This kind of devalues the extended warranty I just purchased (over $2M). Crrrraaaaappp! Would the original warranty be indicated in the owners manual?

Tell the dealer he owes you a spare tire center cap for the wheel! It should have one, and if he tries to give you the runaround that he can't find it, make him order you one!

Default gm certified warranty

Hope I can help. I was Parts\Accessory Director and Asst Service Manager for over 11 years at Independence HUMMER.
2006 HUMMER H3 came with a 4 year\50k mile bumper to bumper warranty,6 year\100,000k mile corrosion warranty.
If you purchased a used H3 that they claim they GM certified you will have some papers proving everything they did. Part of the GM certification is the dealer is required to replace anything and everything thats damaged, scratched, worn, etc.... it has to come out of the service dept like it is a new HUMMER H3.
Warranty

When we say no worries, we mean it.

With GM Certified you're protected from the moment you leave the lot, because all 2005-2011 GM Certified Used Vehicles come with two GM warranties.

The first is a 12-Month/12,000-Mile1 Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty. Every single GM Certified Used Vehicles is equipped with one.
What's Included:

Almost every part of our vehicles are covered under the 12-Month/12,000-Mile1 Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty. See below for the list of exclusions.
This warranty is four times better coverage than Chrysler, Ford and Toyota. And this is coverage that extends any remaining factory warranty. We have complete and total confidence in our vehicles. We want you to, too.
What's Not Included:

  • Tire Damage or Wear
  • Damage Due to Bedliners
  • Damage Due to Accident, Misuse or Alteration
    • Collision, fire, theft, freezing, vandalism, riot, explosion or objects striking the vehicle.
    • Misuse of the vehicle such as driving over curbs, overloading, racing or other competition. Proper vehicle use is discussed in the owner manual.
    • Alteration or modification to the vehicle including the body, chassis or components after final assembly by GM.
    • Coverages do not apply if the odometer has been disconnected, its reading has been altered, or mileage cannot be determined.
    • Damage or Corrosion Due to Environment, Chemical Treatments, and/or Aftermarket Products
    • Damage Due to Insufficient or Improper Maintenance
    • Damage Due to Contaminated or Poor Quality Fuel Maintenance
Important: This warranty is void on vehicles currently or previously titled as salvaged, scrapped, junked or totaled.

Talking to me? Ya, I noticed that. I figured I'd just hunt around and pick one up myself. Little detail I'm not worried about.

However, if what RampartHUMMER is saying is true, then as a certified vehicle they do in fact owe it to me.

I am also a new (used) H3 owner. When I purchased mine, the dealer informed me that since the purchased vehicle had only one previous owner, all warranty is transferable and will be fulfilled until 100k miles. I have had warranty work done with zero issues from another dealership since I have since moved from the PHX area in which I purchased it...you shouldn't have any issues

I believe the 2007 and newer H3 has:
4yr/50,000 mile bumper to bumper
5yr/100,000 mile powertrain
6yr/unlimited mile corrosion
3yr/50,000 mile emission

Not sure on emissions, wasn't mentioned, but the rest is exactly what the dealer told me.
