Default Next Mod

Well the old birthday is coming up, so the ol lady, told me to choose what i want next for the H2..

So i am considering either the Flex-a-lite Aluminum and electric fan,

https://www.flex-a-lite.com/direct-f...-and-suvs.html

Or, the OBX Long Tube Headers,

Product Name - OBX Racing Sports

Both have their advantages, increased Hp, and MPG,

But one, the radiator, can prevent future problems, with mixing of trans and oil fluids, causing total trans failure...i already have the Tru-Cool trans cooler, so all i wil have to buy is the motor oil cooler...

Also the new radiator wil not have the inputs for the trans and oil, so it will look more professional, then plugging these inputs, as others have. ..

And then the OBX headers, better performance, sound and mpg, not to mention, i can address those broken manifold bolts, will be using, ARP studs..

So which way should i go, with the next mod, any input would be appreciated. ..

I bypassed the transcooler in rad too and always wondered about oil cooler side, either external cooler or just block off plate and eliminate oil cooler all together, there was a thread with block off plate and part number on here someplace, I like the idea of new radiator all aluminum no stupid plastic tanks, probly be a good next mod

I figured that water in the engine could damage it, just as water in the trans can...

Thats the way i would like to go, block off old oil lines and add remote filter / cooler set up...

The new radiator is 2 inches thick, compared to stock 1 inch, from what i read, and aluminum. .

Plus its much simpler, each main, engine related component, has its own dedicated cooler...

I think im just blocking mine off, the lines are seeping oil anyway, im using amsoil synthetic oil and don't see a problem where oil will actually need a cooler, I don't tow anything or offroad its a daily driver for me, I will get a aluminum rad tho just because I expect the plastic tanks to fail sooner or later, and yes id hate to get water in my oil of course I just haven't read about that side failing always tranny cooler side but makes sense that either side can be a problem
