newbie 2005 sut question

im a new owner, what is the circular disk to the left and above the driver in the headliner? i hear what sound like a fan humming behind it. thanks in advance.

It's for your climate control. The small fan sucks air from the cabin in to get a temperature reading from inside.

Mine was vibrating and the noise bothered me so I put in a new one.
