I haven't really had any issues really, but I could tell the front end was a little loose. I'm getting ready to move, so I pulled of the 20 inch wheels with 35" tires and put the stock wheels (17") with BFG All Terrains. While I had them off I was checking out the ball joints, etc. I noticed the inside end of both the left and right ball joints, where they meet the 3rd piece about 1.5' inside of each front wheel, was alittle loose. I took into a front end shop and they told me these 2 inside end pieces were bad and needed replaced. Everything else checked out ok. Total bill to do this work ~$1000. They told my it needed a new pitman arm and idler arm. When they priced each piece out there were 3 pieces about $200 each. I went to another place and asked about replacing the pitman arm and idler arm and they told me about $600. So, given the fact that whatever needs to be replaced is located ~1.5' inside of each tierod end, what is it that really needs replaced and what is a reasonable price to expect to pay?
