Default new rims and tires, need alignment?

I have an 08 alpha, with new 285 75 16 's on moto metal 951's. they have been balanced properly and ride very well, but they pull to the right. enough to annoy the heck outta me. do i need an alignment? the backspacing is 4.5", so it sticks the tires out a bit farther than stock, about 2 inches front and rear past the fender. Tire pressures are all set at 50 psi. Stock tires were straight, why not these ones?? what should i do. i appreciate any feedback.

i would say u need a allighnment if its pulling. when i bought new tires they did a tire balance and they where fine. but when i raised the front up i needed a custom allignmnet cause my tires are bigger and i have 20 in rims and the dealer has it set to 16in rims and if u are above it then they charge u for a custom. as far as i no normally when u get new tires and they are the same size u dont need a allignmnet but u are pulling so i would do it

thanks for the reply. i have different than stock tires, the oem were 265 75 16, compared to the newer 286 75 16. but i have a different offset on the newer rims, which stick them out further. i did not do anything with any kind of lift. everything is stock setup except for the wheel and tire combo. im just concerned if anybody else had this same problem with upgrading tire size without any lift.

When you change the offset, you also change (very so slightly) how the factory camber has the tire meet the road. Normally I would say an allignment is not needed with a tire/wheel change, but if it is pulling, I would get it done soon.

Think of it this way. You just made a substantial investment in new boots, you want them to last right? so spending another $50.00 to get the allignment is cheap insurance that you do not chew up your new tires.
