I have the green cold air intake system, and it seems to work great. The quality is pretty good, and I would compare it to a K&N filter system. The sould it creates at hard exceleration is pretty impressive also.

Thanks for the input I was worried no one knows anything about these. My filter came today, model 2499, weird thing according to Green Filter website and AutoAnything thats the correct model for H3, but on amazon where I purchased it, it says its not compatible, but lists same cars as on other websites that also list the H3. I assumed they just did not have it listed yet, but now the filter is here and it looks different then stock. It seems longer, but also the shape...... the stock cylinder is the same width, but the green filter is getting narrower along the length, is this ok ? also I looked up pics on the net of this model and it looks like it has metal top at the end, the one that came looks like black plastic/rubber of some kind. I hope I did not get some old model of the 2499 that won't fit :/

Ok I installed the Green Filter last weekend, will take pictures and post tomorrow (I know someone asked for that in another post).
I would say it will be hard to tell if the car got any faster as I have not been driving it much in the past year or so, only on rare occasions. I do however feel like the truck is lighter on its wheels when I drove it this morning. My wife who usually drives did say she feels like its faster but she is not sure if its just her imagination because of the fact that I said it might be quicker . Now it could also be due to the old filter which was removed, the stock that came with my H3, but then again it did not look that dirty after about 24K miles on it.

As to the milage I will not be able to report for another month or so because that's how long more or less it will take to re-fuel for me. Just filled it up yesterday.

Deere, is the air intake system a closed system or is the air filter cover removed for it ?

The cover is removed, and a heat shield is installed around 2 sides of the box. It also comes with an intake tube that replaces the accordian style tube and that expansion chamber box on the top of the motor directly connecting to the intake. It was an easy installation, and has a real aggresive tone upon hard exceleration.

I see, too bad as I do not like the idea of open systems from what I have been reading about them on the forum...... I think I will stick to the Air Doc system. Doc, does your system give it a nice sound as well ?
