Hey everyone I recently got a 2006 Hummer H3 from a family member since my car got totaled and I was wondering if there was anything I should know owning one of these and I have a few other questions.
Q1: Is it normal for the car to sound like a bus when I start it up.
Q2: why is it so loud driving down the highway haha
Q3: What is common things that need changing in these.

PS. It has 145k miles so I’m not sure how much life she has left in her

 

Hello and welcome, could you give more precision? Does it sound like a miss fire or an cylinder not running well? When was the last big check up of colis, fluids ?

 

Q1: Clutch Fan..................... look it up.
Q2: Depends.......... tires worn?
Q3: What are common things that need changing in everything else? Oil, Front & Rear Differential Lube, Transfer Case Fluid, Transmission Fluid and filter, check the coolant it may need it too?

Start by changing every fluid. Brake, Power Steering, Engine oil & filter, Transmission fluid & filter (do not flush), Front & Rear differentials, Tcase, Coolant.
Inspect every fluid you remove. This will tell you the condition of each part of your drive train as well as give you an idea of how the previous owner took care of it.
If it was properly maintained you should get many more miles out of it.
