If your insurance paid for the new head unit they should have pay for the programming to mate it to your BCM. Not sure why that wasn't your first recourse of action?

 

I'm also in the process of pulling out and buying a new Head Unit because I have a battery drain and my new mechanic advises the drain is coming from the Radio Head Unit or the Amp. The Stealership originally advised the drain was from a driver's seat adjustment button was pinched by the side plastic piece hanging down. I am still trouble shooting the drain. If anyone cares to advise .... Thx.
