Whats a good muffler that I can fit to my H3 (3.7L with stock exhaust) that will give it a deeper and more aggressive sound and that isn't over 100$?

 

Remove the resonator (front muffler) and replace with straight pipe, keep the muffler. That's about as cheap as it gets.

OR,........ keep the resonator and remove the muffler (rear muffler) and replace with a down turned pipe.

 

Check out my video on youtube search for "2007 H2 with magnaflows installed". It's not too loud but has a nice rumble to it.

 

I know this is old, but can anyone describe the difference between removing the resonator or muffler and leaving the other?
I just saw this video with muffler removed (in the rear): I think this might be a little too loud and irritating on the highway. Would a resonator removal be much different?

 

Update: Last night I decided to cut off the muffler in the rear and keep the resonator in the front. Sounds better. Obviously not a V8. I'm looking into replacement options for the front resonator. Some sort of long glass pack or turbo-style muffler.
I just don't want something obnoxious with the "rattle" deceleration sound. I just want something loud and deep.

 

Another note: I purchased a couple pipes at Autozone last night to extend the cut pipe out the rear.

 

I just ordered a Jones glass pack muffler (JEX-A4518S) to replace my resonator.

I have a lot of faith this will sound good.

 

Got it all finished, and it sounds good. But a little more noise in the vehicle on the highway than I like.
I might look into other options. Maybe a turbo style.
