Cool New model year H3 questions

Just a few questions if anyone could help.

Does anyone know:

When the 2010s go on sale?

When the production line gets updated for any changes?

Anyone on this forum work at the H3 plant?

I'm just curious if the new 3.6 V6 will come to fruition.

If there is a 2010 H3 it would come out around the end of the summer. That said... there has been discussion that the plant in Shreveport could be on a list of closures. Given the recent activity (or lack thereof) on the H2 line I would say the closure discussion is something to be taken seriously.

If you want a H3, I would purchase now while there are still trucks to buy. If you are picky on what you want it may still take awhile to find a truck that matches your wishes. Me, it took three months to find an Alpha setup how I wanted. So I would start now.

Ditto...latest headline was the government will force GM and Crysler into a "controlled" bankrupcy, as the Government "just" realized they may never get their money backotherwise...
Thus, we end up with the same result had the government not loaned the money, i.e. BANKRUPCY....
Thats why the government is called a "Beauracracy"....which means "creating work where there is no work" and/or "to acheive the same result thru pain and spending tax payer money" than had you done nothing in the first place...
So now....we must speculate about our warrantys...

I don't think that article was based on any offical statement from GM, I know they have talked about trying to sell it or do away with the entire line not just the H3.

H2s are produced in IN, got nothin to do with 3s. I believe they were to get the diesel power plant?

Production changeover starts the weekend after 4th of July, 2 weeks. Soft sales will likely kill a change to V6s in the 3. Only time will tell.

I wonder why GM did not consider a Diesel H2 or H3 sooner?
If there was ever a Diesel no brainer, H3's and especially H2's fit the bill.
IMHO

The same reason they didn't see a problem w/ flying to DC on their private jet to ask for a tax payer funded hand out!

and same reason they perfect a car then decide to cancel it, lol. It's a shame GM's management is so disconnected; they used to make some fine stuff and really come out (innovate) some good products.

I am glad they decided to put a V8 (although wish it were a little more power [torque] like other engines these days) and the 4:1 transfer, etc. available...The bad part is they make them hard to find.

oh yeah, I know one thing I wished they would've came out with: a 5- or 6-speed auto and/or a 6-speed manual. Maybe an optional 6.0 too (not the LS2 [I have that in the GTO and whilst powerful and torquey, not so much for weight, the truck version)...I'm dreaming I know...

Seriously though, my luck i they will come out with something like that as a top model, soon as I buy mine. Plus, I said I would never buy a 1st model year anything, but least the H3T is mostly based on H3 and proven...

In some weird ways though, it would almost be nice to have 2009 the last and only year for H3T...
