New Member--hopefully new Hummer owner
Thanks for all the input guys.
Good points about the H2. Are the older H2s as nice as the new ones--meaning are some of the loaded options only available on 05 or 06 H2s? I was really impressed with some of the bells and whistles like the heated seats, remote starter, parking mirror adjustment and so forth. I know I'd be hoping for a miracle to get a loaded used H2 for an affordable price. Because statistically speaking, I don't fit into the income level that 'most' Hummer owners do.
Good point about the added suspension in the H2 as well. I'm sure that would certainly help support all of my 130 pounds.
Although I was fully expecting to load up my German Shepherds in my new Hummer; hubby has other plans. He would rather I haul a small trailer with the dogs in it to keep the Hummer clean and available for passengers. He doesn't want to spend up to 35k and then have me jake out the car with dogs. I'll agree that the dogs can be an issue with the shedding and sometimes odor too. We had an unfortunate incident with a skunk a couple months ago. That was the only time I was thankful the dogs were in the back of my pick up. But, I told him that I PROMISED to clean the Hummer every weekend to handle the dog issue.
This topic is still open for full debate. I want to get out of my truck because I can't drive the friggin thing. So why the hell do I want to get a Hummer and then add another 6 feet to it with a trailer? Kindof pointless to me. I'm sticking to my guns...it's only a matter of time before he caves.

mine's an '03. i have the heated seats, front and rear (standard), parking mirror adjust (curb assist, standard), 6 disc CD (option, i think), but no remote start. if you're really 130, i would assume you're under 5'10" (or blow away when the wind is above 10mph), so you may want to make sure you have the steps on the side. although they're a disadvantage off road, they'll survive fire trails and basic off road trails. good luck, and post pics whatever you get. unless it's not a hummer. . . . then you're banished . . . .[sm=badidea.gif]
Yes, I really weigh 130. I didn't care too much for the assist steps in the H3; I didn't think they were needed. But, I would certainly use them in an H2.
I'll let you guys know what I get...hopefully I will get something SOON!
