Default New H3 owner here...

Just picked up an '07 yesterday and had a few questions as I've had a bit of time to go over different things on the vehicle.

The only real problem I've run into is with the keyless entry system. Just to test it out, I set my keyless to program 2 (lights flash with horn when locked) but unfortunately all I hear is a very (and I mean VERY) faint chirp (not even a honk). It truly is barely audible. Has anyone else run into this particular issue? I tested the horn out by depressing on the steering wheel and although it appears I have the whimpy-issue horn, it still works while the alarm set sound does not.

Are there any other nuances of the vehicle I should be aware of/looking for?

Thanks for any feedback you have and I look forward to discussion here on the boards.

Hi. Congrats with your Hummer and welcome to the asylum
Just speculating but perhaps you had an aftermarket alarm installed and they bypassed the factory horn chirp to the electronic alarm chirp? If that can be completely ruled out then maybe try disconnecting your battery and waiting 10-15 mins to reset the system and then reprogram? Seems strange considering your horn still has normal operation.
Keep us posted

I disabled that annoying horn beep on the first day of owning my H3.
I set it to flash the lights only.

Ditto here. The first thing I did as soon as I got mine was to turn the horn beeping when you lock the doors off. I can hear the doors locking, I don't need the horn too.

There are instructions in the Owners Manual. Check that first.

I wish I could set mine to a soft chirp. The horn is too obnoxious and sometimes when I'm walking away I can't hear the doors lock. Have to turn around and watch for the lights to flash.

Yep, first thing I did on all our HUMMERs was turn that annoying honk off. I do have the lights flash so I can tell if they are locking in my driveway at night.
