Hello folks. Just purchased a 2005 H2 with a duramax 6.6 LLY conversion by Predator Inc. Drove it back from California to Louisiana and enjoyed every minute. But, like everything I get, I want to change it up a bit.
The truck is loaded with billet parts that I'm looking to swap out for black chrome. I can't seem to find parts in that style. Should I just pull these parts and send them for plating? Or does anyone know of a source that sells them.

Welcome Larzr (I'm in N. La.). I don't know of anyone that does black chrome plating, if you do let all of us know. jmo

 

Welcome. I have a buddy at work with the duramax conversion. Dude turns all four tires and I have seen him smoke a few sports cars, but it's some insaine HP and torque, I'm thinking he said around 700 HP. If there was such thing as a 1/4 mile hummer that's gotta be it.
Where at in LA? I was in gulfport for a minute back in the day.

 

While I was rooting around in the storage area of an old Hummer dealer (looking for H3 Cab Roof Marker lights - none), I saw an SMA H2 Black Chrome Hood Deck vent. It was so beautiful ... I took a picture of it. The guy is listing stuff on eBay, but not this vent yet, I don't think. I believe they run around $700?, it's brand new, and does not include the handles. If you are interested, make an offer and I'll see if I can hook you up before he puts it on eBay. I'm not looking to get anything out of this, I was only after the H3 Cab Roof Marker lights.

I have never seen any aftermarket guys doing black chrome. a piece here/there, but thats it. I would find someone in your area who does the service and have everything done locally. definitely would be cheaper.

 

Thanks for the info guys. Nobody does it in my area. Closest I found was in Tn. just decided to do a satin powder coat. I'll get some pics up when it's done
