Default New guy from Texas

Hello there everyone! My name is Robert and I live in Central Texas and I'm here because my wife wants to get an H3. So, I'm here to educate myself on the Hummer scene, must have mods etc. Meeting some cool people along the way will be a bonus!

As for me, I do like the H3 as well, I think Hummers are the most capable off road vehicles out there (stock for stock). I'm a car and motorcycle guy as well, I currently own a '70 Chevelle with a 496 stroker, a Harley St. Bob and a '67 Triumph project.

Anyway, that's a bit about me, I look forward to getting to know people here and learning as much as I can.

Robert

Hello: Robert I've owed two H3 an I-5 adventure and a 08 Alpha I enjoyed them both however the Alpha is my pick because of the 5.3 V8 and its towing ability. I have a 28' toy-hauler and an Electra glide ultra limited load the bike and away we go no trouble. All & All Hummers are wonderful and good luck finding yours!

Hey Robert. I am also from Central Texas. I have owned an H3 and loved it. I would recommend an 07 up. I also agree the Alpha is the way to go if you use the truck to pull anything. I also like the power. 06's seem to have the most issues but it was the first year. We do offroad quite a bit and have some get together that everyone seems to enjoy. Where in Central Texas are you.
Also what are you asking for the Chevelle and is it an original SS. I may know a couple of people who may be interested.

Hi Robert. Welcome to the forum. If you can afford it I would go for an Alpha adventure package truck. I have a farm in the town of West outside of Waco.

Matt, didn't see where the Chevelle was for sale, trying to get a jump on everyone?

Thank you all for the warm welcome. Tainter, thank you for all the info! The car is indeed for sale and posted here. It's not a true SS, it was cloned when I bought it. I'm trying to get $25k for it but am negotiable, end game for me is to get my wife in an H3.

I'm down in New Braunfels, so I guess I'm technically kind of South Centralish. I like the idea of the 5.3 but I've got a Silverado Z71 that I tow anything with. Guess we'll see what happens.

No I don't want to buy it although I do like it. I may build another one after I get moved though.
