Default New guy! Just bought an '04 H2

I just picked it out and got it on Wed. Waiting on USAA to send the check and hopefully Ill be able to pick it up Mon or Tuesday.
It does have some issues that I am sure I will ask 100 questions here.
#1: Drivers side exhaust bolts broken off. I know a great Chevy mechanic that Ive already been in touch with. Hes on stand by to check things out when I pick it up.
#2: The door dont unlock 100% of the time. Seems the main offender is the drivers door. Going to try to disconnect the battery when I pick it up. I didnt want to do it in from of the dealer..bargaining chips!
#3: The NAV radio works, but the screen doesn't light up. Will probably replace it with an AVIC soon.
Thats the major things I can think of. I will update when I pick it up.

Im a 34 yo male. I work a K9 in my local town. Have 1 kid, but he lives with his mom out of state. The truck is an '04 H2 with 104K on it. I dont know if its a LUX or Adventure, etc. I haven't learned the differences yet.

Those nav units can be pricey, let us know what happens.

Its black. I drove a few newer ones, but they had more miles on them, and no sunroof. This one has a sun roof which I hope I dont regret.
Ive been watching CL for an AVIC so hopefully it wont be to bad.

Is there any other Hummer forums out there? I found elvoca (sp?) but it says registration is closed.

Default Great Truck

Welcome and congrats. We love ours, even with the PITA probs we have had. Our windshield was not sealed on the top, water from all running lights, wiper malfunction etc.... Regardless of the glitches, it will be sweet one day

Got it home and all. The first night I took it by my buddies house and he reset the computer and cleared the EVAP code. He looked at the exhaust and says we can do 1 of two things. Buy another set of heads and exhaust manifolds and swap them in a day. Or pull mine and get the work done. Probably be down a week or so. Im currently looking for an extra set of heads.
Any advice on good reasonable priced headers? Or just go back with the manifolds?
I also cleaned the MAF. That really smoothed out my idle.
It raining here or Id be out pulling the step bumpers off.

Anyone tell me how to remove the rear seat? I fooled with it, but cant get it to release.

Congrats

I almost immediately replaced my stock nav with an App radio from pioneer. Love it! These guys on here are full of info, so don't be afraid to ask.

Why do you need new heads? Are the manifold bolts broken off inside the heads. You should be able to find someone to weld a nut to the broken off stud and that allow removal.
