I have a friend who had a simular problem with stalling...

turned out to be a bad (shorting out) wiring harness that goes to the knock sensors..I can't remember if he had to do both sides or just one side..but I hope this gives you a direction to look at..GL

 

Ouch. Good luck...been driving mine for 5/6 years and no problems other than replacing wheel bearing - which is common but expensive. Enjoy when it's running better

 

Turns out the steering wheel position sensor was the culprit of the stalls and engine lights. So glad to be over that hurdle! Now... onto the next. My husband thinks I need a new transmission. It's shifting extremely hard between the 1st and 2nd gear. Seeing as how all I drive is bumper to bumper rush hour on i-635, I am constantly shifting between 1st and 2nd. I'm getting jerked around each time it shifts. I'm trying a different dealership this time. I'm taking it into to Classic Chevy tomorrow. Fingers crossed this next experience is better than the last!

 

Good luck but doesn't sound like you need a new tranny from just those symptoms.

 

I think you need to light that junk on fire and buy an 07.....
