I just wanted to introduce myself. I live in North Florida and just bought a Blue 2008 H3 Alpha.
I bought it in Dallas and will not pick it up until the end of next week.
It has all the options such a leather Nav, and power seats so I am guessing it has the Luxury option. It also has the 285 tires so I am also guessing from reading this forum it probably has the Off Road Package. I'll find all this out when I go pick it up.

When I get it what is the best way to tell if it has the Off Road Package?

Welcome and congrats on the new H3!

In 08 the off road pkg has a rear locker and the low ratio Transfer Case with shocks that have a tad thicker piston and stiffer valving. So on the dash over the radio, to the right of the T Case control buttons, you will have an extra button to the left of the traction control button, which has four tires with an "x" in between the rear tires. That controls the locker. The non off road versions do not have that button.
