So I've had my 06 H2 for a couple months now and have been seeing small drops of red on my garage floor. Immediately thought the tranny had a leak. Checked the level and added about half a quart since it was just a hair low. However last night I realize (dumb I know) the drain plug on the engine pan is what is leaking BUT THE FLUID IS RED!!

Almost everytime I start the truck it turns over fine but has a very short hesitation then fires right up. I've thought nothing of it but now I'm starting to wonder about this red fluid!

Does anyone know of a RED engine oil? I mean red like ATF, not maroon like other oil makers or a shade of brown but exactly the red of ATF.

I've probably put 2-3000 miles on the truck since I've had it. Does anyone know the consequence of running ATF in the engine for prolonged periods? If this turns out to be ATF I'm going to be pretty pissed at the dealership!
