Sounds to me you are stuck in 4W Lock? Read the manual about how to properly shift the T case, then shift into 4Hi Lock, then back into 4Hi.....
now back upt for 30 - 40 feet, turn the wheel a bit back and forth side to side. If this does not un stick it, go to the dealer, you need a new T Case shift module, some have gone bad and get stuck, should be a warranty item.

Like a couple others above said, on pavement, it really is not a good idea to routinely turn the sterring all the way to the steering stop with a full time 4WD, it just chews up your front tires. Great for off road though! Good luck.

Post back whatever you end up finding out. Welcome to the forums.

I'd echo what Doc Olds said. I've felt exactly that kind of reaction when I reached up to adjust my A/C vents and accidentally let my hand rest on the 4Hi Lock button. It startled the heck out of me because it happened just as I was pulling into a parking garage - and of course you tend to make more sharp turns there than normal.

Mine allways feels like the e brake is on... oh I forgot it is a 5 cylinder...LOL

It sounds like it is binding up and maybe stuck in 4 Hi-lock?
