Default Need help

hy friends
need help for my baby
the interior lightning cant be switched off

normaly its dimmed off when i chose „d“ or lock the car
but nothing happends

what could i do now
now i have removed all lamps

is there any relay or fuse defect?

can anybody help?

First, is the thumbwheel near your headlight switch rotated all the way upward. That turns them on but in that case they would remain on all the time. Second, check each individual switch on your doors and rear gate. Sounds like one of these is sticking or not making physical contact with the door or is electrically shorted making electical cantact all the time. Those are the most likely causes and easiest to troubleshoot.

but if the door switch is defekt
is there no information in the display „doors open“?

Quite true, Next step is the Dealer to check the BCM

I had the rear passenger door trigger fail. Five dollar part if your out of warranty. Lights did not go out, nor did the dash register. I think they are negative trigger grounded. So while the signal is still correct, the switch can make a connection by grounding due to failure such as moisture. If that makes any sort of since at all.

Check your dash cluster. Then check your switches by pulling them out (torx bit), and disconnecting them . Make sure you don't let the wiring fall back into the opening, major pain. A few forum members have metioned water issues making a connection, specifically on the rear hatch.
