Default ned to identify a 2010 h3

Hi,

A good friend of mine recently lost her husband. He had a very nice fleet, a Honda Ruin, A big Lexus of some sort and a 2010 H3.

I don't know that much about Hummers and have been doing some research to try and figure what exactly she has. I believe it is an Alpha since it is a V8.

I found this in an old post.
This was originally posted by "tainter" in 2010.

2010 H3 & H3T
Base Engine 3.7L I5 Optional Engine: 5.3L V8 Flex Fuel (Alpha only)
Option Packages:
Base- Cloth/standard radio/Black accents
Adventure- Cloth/Monsoon radio/Black accents/4:1 transfer case/Front & Rear Locker/ /Cast Iron Front Diff
Lux- Leather/Chrome
Alpha-Cloth (Leather optional)/ Black Accents (Chrome optional)/Monsoon radio
OffRoad(only on Alpha) -4:1 transfer case/Front & Rear Locker

So if it has F&R lockers it also has the OffRoad package?
I can tell this by looking for locker switches ?

On the lower right hand side of the post, you may have an edit button.

I'm not sure if you need to make X amount of posts or if it is time based, but I remember when I first started posting, there wasn't an edit button, but now there is. I still have an edit button next to quote on my post above. So I'm not sure how it works.

To help you out though, there is a website called CompNine and you can do a VIN search. It used to be free, but now you have to pay. I think they have a trial of one VIN, but you have to provide an e-mail address. They also have a package of 5 VIN searches for around $5. When you put the VIN in the black, it should report back a list of all the options that the Hummer had when built. You can also see the day it was built. It will show you Alpha, Lux, chrome, Offroad, etc packages if equipped. It should provide the info that you are looking for.

If it's a 2010 and has a V8 it IS an Alpha. It will have either Ebony or Cashmere leather and Chrome mirrors, door handles and grille. The Monsoon sound system was also a part of the "Alpha" package on the H3s.

The locker buttons are to the righ in the 4x4 control center. If it looks like the photo below it is an OffRoad model which has a 4.03:1 transfer case, Electronic Eaton lockers front and rear and specially tuned shocks all the way around.

If it has the switches it is an Alpha w/ the OffRoad Package.

I think you mean to the RIGHT side of the 4X4 control center, next to the Passenger Air Bag indicator.
