Nav system question
I thought I would post this here too since it's a busy place.
I have a 2005 H2 with factory Nav. that I would like to be able to input street addresses while driving. Actually, my passenger would do the inputting. Is there anything available to bypass this feature? I understand why it's there, but it should be allowed when someone is in the passenger seat. Maybe a seat detection system that would enable the nav input when a passenger is present! Thanks.

I don't think you can. My '06 NAV system is identical to the one I had in my '05 GMC Denali. That was one aspect I didn't like but other than that, they are not bad.
I just bought my wife a new '09 Mercedes C350 with factory NAV and I like the unit I have in the H2 better.

I thought as much. Thanks anyway.

Not sure on the hummer/gm but on my dads jeep navi, i was able to find an update disk online that enabled all the features when driving. The real trick was finding a recordable dvd that the system liked. It was really picky. I'll look around and see if i can find any info on the hummer navis.
This web site sells the "gm lock pick"

It apparently wires in inline. Not sure which one you need, i suppose you could call them. I'll keep looking, there may be a software solution as well.
