My first Hummer (H3)
Hi there,
I stumbled across the forum while googeling for an answer to my H3 head unit replacement, And I just love what I see here.
I have to say I envy you people who live in the USA. I've en doing serious off raoding for about 7 years. My previous SUV was a Isuzu rodeo, And I'm new to the Hummer thing. It's my first Hummer ever (H3, have it for about 6 months now).
You may ask yourselves why do I envy you ? Well 2 mainreasons:
1. The amount of improvements available for your cars there is enormous, and over here ( I live in Israel) if I'll try an put 35" wheels, then my ride becomes illegal! If I want to upgrade my Car computer- well no way to get it done here.
2. The second issue is price – You can not even start to imagine how much I paid for my 2007 H3 (Luxury model) – 90,437,000$. It's not a typo error. A H3 costs here a little bit more the 90k$ !!!. and H2 costs here around 150K$.

P.S.
Most of the off roading here is done in the Negev desert, and in the north of the country. Here are a few fictures of my H3 in Israel.

Welcome. I am posted to Egypt were i am told locals pay $150,000 with duties and taxes for an H3. Glad i brought mine with me. On the positive side gas is only 90 cents a gallon. Already sold when i leave here in a year at a sharp discount so i can buy a new H3. Just have to avoid the landmines in the Sinai.
Wow.... pricey rides.... I could get used to gas being 90 cents a gallon again.... turn back the clocks to 1991. The year I got my license it was 93 cents.
Oh.... and welcome to The International House of Hummers

At least it's only 90 cent a gallon over there.
Here in Israel beside the 90K$ for the ride, The price for ONE GALLON is .......................... 6.37$ !!!
So I can only say to all of you who live and work in the USA two things:
1. Count your blessings
2. Can some one please talk with my wife and convince her to live a few years (about 60) in the USA?
